For years, I have vowed to not be a coffee drinker.
You know, one of those people who *has to have it*.
I even worked at a coffee shop
after Mr. Wonderful and I were married.....
with 3 rowdy boys here on earth
and two precious children in heaven,
I am worn out.
Really worn out.

So, experiment exhibit A:
Can I have a french-press coffee maker in the house,
enjoy a cuppa
every few days?

We'll see.....

Look how little and dainty the coffee cups were back then. Now I guzzle down huge tumbler mugs. No wonder I'm addicted. : ) Good luck with your experiment. : )
Happy Mother's Day to you.
Not to be discouraging...BUT ;). That's how I got hooked. I bought an innocent little French Press and thought it would be a nice treat every once in a while. Within 2 months, we were drinking it every day. Finally upgraded to the "automatic" coffee pot recently so I didn't have to go through so much effort for my morning cuppa.
Yet, there is hope. As of today I have been coffee-free (was a 2 cups a day drinker) for a week. Headaches? Yes, but nothing to die over. Now comes the hard part...having a cuppa now and then without getting hooked again.
I pray you can enjoy yourself a nice lovely cup of the dark stuff once in a while, without getting addicted! ;).
I think it is one of the best things ever! It's SO relaxing and wonderful in the morning to have a fresh cup of coffee!! AND the smell! Oh so good! :)
Just don't get started on the red bull.....
