Praying Scripture

Praying the Word of God is a great way to pray, when our own words seem inadaquate for our needs. This week I have learned to do this when my heart is troubled---but I can't put a name to the problem or find it's solution. This is the prayer I've learned from the Psalmist

' We wait in hope for you, LORD;

you are our help and our shield.

In you our hearts rejoice

for we trust in your holy name!

May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,

even as we put our hope in you. '

Psalms 33:20-22

I love to pray the scripture! It is so powerful and effective.

...may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalms 19:4
