I have rested on the couch
more
than I have in the last 6 years
put together,
knitting and reading and sleeping.
Just two short weeks after surgery,
I am bursting with energy,
yet trying not to overdo.
This time of recovery, while my body mends,
has also felt like a fresh beginning in my heart.
The wounds are healing.
