Cracked

Weathered and dry, the facade of white paint giving way to the elements.

God's work is being done, the suffering stripping away my pretenses.

I am left bare and exposed, humbled and expectant,

waiting for God's creative hand to restore beauty to my soul.

Only this time, it will be better than before, more like him,

He has promised.

Good Morning. I found your site through Twenty-two Words.

You're poem, paired with the photograph, is very moving.

How blessed we are that our merciful, gracious, loving Lord does all this for us.

Have a wonderful day.
