It's been said that the only thing we can count on not changing
is that things will always change.
(Of course, that is not a true statement, because we can count on our ever-loving God to never change, HE is the same yesterday, today and forever. )
Our lives are full of seasons, and while we may long for the warmth of summer during a cold winter snap, nothing can be done to to hurry or halt the march of time. Mostly it's steady beat is a comfort.
But times like this last week, when change springs suddenly upon me with no warning I find change very hard to deal with.
We found out that some dear friends will no longer be attending our church.
It's a time of mourning the loss of the past---we were so happy, so blessed, so glad to know you.
I will miss you.

It is so very sad to lose a connection. But you are so correct, and what a thoughtful way to look at the situation. There is only one constant, as you say, and praise the Lord, it's the only One we need.
Hugs to you as you mourn the loss of dear friends.
